About the Event

David Morris focuses on a selection of plants that have been here so long that we  all take them for granted as being part of the landscape, except that they are all introduced species.  Most are herbaceous   but there are  a few woody ones too, and alien plants are still  being set loose into the environment, even today. "To keep a clear distinction between native and nonnative species requires nearly geologic memory."  Verlyn Klinkenborg NY Times, 7 Sept 2013
